Dream A Little Dream - New York

We know that Inside410 is the cats "meow" for all of our readers and followers. Inside410 has been experiencing tremendous changes over the past 20 years and is drastically different that it was from back in the '80s however we are not (sorry to say) the center of the universe. There are a load of other cool urban settings throughout the world and today we are proud to launch the "Dream A Little Dream" series where we will each month take a break from our traditional exploration of urban San Antonio and explore UrbanLiving in different cities throughout the world!

First, let's start with the Big Apple and have a look at a masterpiece of an urban condo on 108th St. just a mere 5 blocks from Central Park!

The Nutshell: 2 Bedroom/2 Bath, 1,250 Sq. Ft. listed at only $999,000.

Here is the property description from the Sotheby's Realty website:

"This Charming Duplex Loft at the Magnolia Mansion Lofts offers 14 ft. high ceilings, 4 south facing over-sized windows, washer/dryer in unit, hardwood floors and over 1,250 square feet of functional living space. The foyer offers a generous size room suitable for library or home office placement. The first floor features a grand living room with open chef kitchen. The custom kitchen ideal for entertaining is equipped with 6-Burner Viking Convection Oven Range, Fisher & Paykel refrigerator, Kitchen Aid dishwasher and custom cabinets. The master and second bedroom are situated on the second floor along with a full bathroom equipped with Malber washer/dryer.

The Magnolia Mansion Lofts offer shared courtyard garden, rooftop access, video intercoms and a full-time Super. The courtyard garden spans the length of the building and is a quiet oasis featuring tables and barbecue grills. The building is located within walking distance of the subway and major transportation, Museum Mile, and restaurants. Magnolia Mansion Lofts were originally built as a school and converted to condos in 1987. This beautiful pre-war building maintains many of the original features, including a grand entry and original columns. Strong financials, low maintenance, and future developments to come make this the perfect home and neighborhood an excellent value when compared to neighboring condos."

This condo is situated in East Harlem and let me tell you that neighborhood is not what it used to be...For the better!

Famous as the site of the 1920s renaissance of African American culture, historic Harlem real estate offers a vibrant neighborhood currently undergoing a second renaissance in commerce, culture, property redevelopment and historic preservation. At the northern tip of Central Park, the neighborhood stretches from 116th Street to the Harlem River. Harlem real estate includes a wealth of magnificently detailed 19th-century brownstones and spacious prewar buildings.

The St. Nicholas Historic District is notable for the stately 19th-century townhouses of Striver's Row, historically named as a reference to its upwardly mobile residents, with other grand townhouses in Hamilton Heights. A legendary landmark, the Apollo Theater has hosted performances by such luminaries as Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Bessie Smith. The neighborhood also teems with an extraordinary variety of shops, markets, restaurants and cafes.

This stunning property is listed by our sister company Sotheby's International Realty - East Side Manhattan Brokerage in New York and is available now.
